Job summary

The Adam Corporation Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an SBA Credit Analyst to perform in-depth credit analyses for SBA 7a, 504, and Express loans. You will underwrite the basics of commercial creditworthiness and ensure compliance with SBA SOP eligibility requirements.

The role involves reviewing loan documentation, determining eligibility, preparing financial analyses, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive underwriting decisions and loan closings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Formal Bank Commercial Credit training or equivalent classes.
• 5 to 10 years of banking/credit experience with 3 to 4 years of SBA credit analysis.
• Strong understanding of SBA SOP eligibility requirements.
• Knowledgeable of computer systems including word processing, databases, and Excel.
• Experience with credit analysis software.
• Knowledgeable in financial institution operating policies and banking regulations, state and federal.

Responsibilities

• Performs SBA audit quality review and approval of loan documentation for full compliance with SBA, 7a, 504, and bank credit standards.
• Determines loan eligibility and structures transactions to meet SBA and bank guidelines.
• Communicates with Business Development Officers and team members.
• Prepares detailed financial analyses of borrowing entities and guarantors.
• Obtains and reviews credit reports and other documentation for SBA guaranty and regulatory compliance.
• Generates a Credit Approval Memorandum reflecting full underwriting standards.
• Assembles credit committee packages for approval.
• Reviews third-party reports including appraisals and valuations.
• Assists closing department to facilitate loan closings and modifications as needed.
• Supports annual reviews of existing SBA loans and maintains monthly work logs.
• Performs additional tasks as needed by management.
