At First Internet Bank, the SBA Loan Underwriter II plays a vital role in credit risk management. This remote-capable position involves assessing SBA loan requests and ensuring compliance with regulations, working collaboratively with bank teams to facilitate timely loan closure. About the Position:
As the SBA Loan Underwriter II you will provide the initial step in the bank’s overall Credit Risk Management process over the SBA loan portfolio. You will be a financial expert whoanalyzes the financial condition of prospective SBA borrowers and assesses how much risk First IB will be assuming if a decision is made to approve a loan request. More specifically, you will evaluate credit history, assets, liabilities, cash flows and other factors to determine a borrower’s ability to pay back a loan request. You will work closely with bank management and other members of the SBA lending function to ensure that loans meet SBA requirements and close in a timely manner.
