Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Radion Health, a pioneering company focused on providing affordable group health insurance for small businesses. We offer competitively priced, high-quality, level funded health plans for employer groups with as few as 10 enrolled employees in every state except Washington. We specialize in underwriting small- and medium-sized employer groups without health questionnaires or claims experience.

We are looking for a Medical Stop Loss Underwriter to work remotely. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are inquisitive, adaptable, and ready to accelerate their careers in a transformative startup environment.

The person in this position will gain significant exposure to underwriting, data systems, and group performance analysis. This position will play a key role in the underwriting function, ensuring the organization has the necessary insights to understand the potential risks of groups. In addition to Underwriting, this role will also focus on Data Systems Support and Group Performance Analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the risk factors of potential clients.
• Assist with storing specific data elements, and policy issuance, while maintaining a strong working relationship with clients.
• Evaluate the risk profiles of groups using Radion Health’s machine learning/AI software to determine their viability and profitability.
• Data collection- collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to support underwriting decisions and contribute to risk modeling.
• Works closely with other team members to ensure a comprehensive understanding of program stacks and cost containment measures.
• Data Systems Support
• Assists with organizing and maintaining our data systems, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of our data.
• Tasks may include data analysis, troubleshooting system problems, and data entry.
• Group Performance Analysis
• Will collaborate closely with our account management team by providing research and analytical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Generally, 2-5 years of medical stop loss underwriting experience.
• Must have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to understand and integrate complex data.
• Prior experience with risk assessments is preferred.
