Job summary

Voyager Lending seeks an experienced SBA Loan Underwriter to provide accurate credit analysis, risk assessment, and underwriting support for SBA and USDA loan requests. The role requires strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of SBA lending requirements.

The candidate will collaborate with BDOs and lending staff, manage a robust underwriting pipeline, and ensure timely credit decisions while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of SBA 7(a) loan underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of SBA lending regulations, procedures, and underwriting practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite SBA and USDA loan requests in accordance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive credit analyses, including cash flow and collateral analysis.
• Collaborate with lenders and management throughout the underwriting process.
• Manage a pipeline of new loan and modification requests.
• Communicate effectively with borrowers, lenders, and third-party providers.
