First United Bank is seeking an experienced SBA Lending Liaison to attract SBA loan customers by educating internal lenders and coordinating with external referral sources. The role focuses on qualifying, structuring, and presenting SBA loan opportunities for faster underwriting.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business or finance, 5+ years in SBA lending or small business underwriting, and proven ability to develop new business through strong communication and sales skills.
This position is responsible for attracting new SBA loan customers through internal referral sources (primarily the bank’s lending staff) as well as external referral sources (ie business brokers, CPA, commercial realtors, etc.). The primary role for this position includes being a “liaison” for the internal lending staff. That includes educating the lenders on the various SBA programs and helping them target potential loan opportunities. This also includes helping internal lending officers to qualify and structure potential SBA loan opportunities.
