Job summary

Open Bank is seeking an SBA Credit Analyst to join the SBA Loan Center. You will evaluate, analyze, underwrite, and process lending products and loan files, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the cycle.

The role focuses on credit analysis, file preparation, borrower communication, and adherence to policy and regulatory standards. Team orientation and attention to detail are essential, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience in business lending or banking preferred, but not required.
• Ability to retain broad knowledge of lending tasks, lending regulation, lien laws, and loan documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills; professional image in writing, in person, and over the phone.
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
• Present a professional image when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Accurate typing and basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, core banking systems, email and online banking.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis and spreads on financial information and determine SBA eligibility.
• Site visitations to borrowers.
• Prepare and review files for policy, regulatory and documentation compliance (equal credit, fair credit reporting, BSA).
• Prepare documents and meet borrowers for proper signing of loan documents and notarization where applicable.
• Follow up with tickler items.
• Review weekly past due reports to monitor payment performance and act on delinquent loans.
