Job description

Excellent opportunity for a seasoned SBA Business Development Officer with a very successful national financial institution.

This role is responsible for generating new SBA loans within an assigned local market.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strategies to originate SBA loans in the marketplace.
  2. Build and maintain a referral network with commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, professional associations, accountants, lawyers, and others to solicit SBA loan opportunities.
  3. Present the bank's loan capabilities to prospective clients.
  4. Structure SBA loan proposals, conduct initial underwriting, and prepare credit packages.
  5. Ensure the success and growth of the assigned sales territory.
  6. Manage the entire sales lifecycle, including lead generation, sourcing, loan structuring, product knowledge, and financial analysis.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in SBA 7(a) & 504 lending, or selling related financial products, or a combination of both.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of underwriting and evaluating commercial credit.
  • Established network of COIs and brokers in the local market.
