A leading bank in North Carolina is seeking an SBA Business Development Officer I to originate and manage SBA loans. This role involves assessing applications, ensuring compliance, and providing exceptional service to small business clients. The SBA Business Development Officer I is responsible for originating, underwriting, and closing Small Business Administration (SBA) loans to support local businesses in achieving their financial goals. This role involves assessing loan applications, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with SBA regulations while providing exceptional customer service. The SBA Lender collaborates with internal teams and external partners to develop tailored financing solutions that meet the needs of small business clients.
Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5 years SBA lending experience. Excellent knowledge and understanding of SBA loan processing, procedures, and due diligence is required. Comprehensive understanding of business development strategies, techniques, and business operations required. Knowledge of all applicable lending and other regulations governing business loans.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in business, commercial lending is required.
