Job summary

Millwood, Inc. seeks a Scragg Mill Operations Manager to oversee the direction, coordination, and development of the Scragg Mill Operations Team, ensuring safe operation and maintenance of equipment, meeting production goals and KPIs, and managing the department budget and staffing.

The successful candidate will report to Plant Manager, supervise approximately 50 team members, and lead safety, quality, and productivity initiatives across shifts while collaborating with supervisory staff to

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of supervising all phases of Scragg Mill operations.
• Previous experience with sawmills preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people and motivate a team.
• Experience managing safety performance and programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to train and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive Safety improvements (Zero Harm) across the Plant.
• Manage, lead by example, and reinforce company values on the floor daily.
• Ensure mill runs safely and efficiently every shift.
• Develop and implement standards to improve safety, quality and productivity.
• Lead projects within budget and timelines; coach teams to follow SOPs.
