Job summary

Abbeville Fiber is a state-of-the-art sawmill seeking a skilled supervisor to coordinate production, distribution, warehousing, and shipping. You will manage safety, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and maintain facilities and equipment during shifts.

You will lead and develop an operational sawmill team, promote safe practices, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement. A HS diploma with supervisory experience is required; multi-department sawmill experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with three years related supervisory experience in manufacturing, sawmill, or lumber industry.
• Preferred: five years multi-department experience in a sawmill operation and experience with computerized maintenance and purchasing systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production, distribution, warehousing, and shipping per Plant Manager policies.
• Ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA/EPA).
• Oversee housekeeping of plant facilities and equipment during shifts.
• Lead and develop an operational team for the sawmill in a safe, efficient manner.
• Develop a culture of performance management and continuous improvement.
• Address unsafe conditions and promote safe work practices.
