Job summary

Beasley Forest Products Inc. in Hazlehurst, GA is seeking an entry-level millwright/maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery and assist in installing and calibrating equipment.

This role requires basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and climb, with a focus on safety and precise documentation. Expected shift patterns may include night shifts, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or sawmill environments preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, and stand, walk, bend, and climb frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery (conveyors, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
• Assist in installing, aligning, and calibrating new equipment and replacing components.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues under supervision of senior millwrights.
• Adhere to safety procedures, particularly Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Accurately document all maintenance activities and repairs.
