Responsibilities

• Learn machines and operation skills to advance to a machine operator role.
• Operate splitter equipment to divide lumber packs for the treating process.
• Operate stacker to place lathe sticks between lumber layers.
• Use delather to remove lathe sticks after treating.
• Identify sizes of plywood and lumber and match barcodes to units.
• Apply barcode tags and placards using a bander or stapling gun.
• Package lumber units for shipping with wrapping materials.
• Complete required safety forms, checklists and permits.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures as required.
• Follow safety procedures and work with coworkers for a safe environment.
• Report near misses, incidents, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and dispose of debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
