Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1–2 years welding experience preferred.
• Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) involves an electric arc between a continuously fed electrode and the workpiece with flux to shield and slag formation.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding duties using a Sub Arc Welding machine.
• Weld steel components as specified by layouts, drawings, or instructions.
• Weld in various directions: flat and horizontal.
• Operate related tools and equipment as needed.
• Inspect welds and correct as necessary to meet specifications.
• Read and follow job orders and engineering drawings.
