Job summary

MICA Steelworks is seeking a Submerged Arc Welder (SAW) to fit, weld, fabricate, and repair metal per product specs and schedules. You will coordinate with the Welding Lead, Shift Supervisor, and management to ensure welds meet job requirements and UT standards.

Maintain production levels and uphold quality welds throughout shifts. Candidates should have 1–2 years of welding experience, HS diploma or GED, and knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and Submerged Arc Welding equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years welding experience required or equivalent.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding duties using a Sub Arc Welding machine.
• Weld steel components as specified by layouts/engineering drawings/work orders.
• Weld in various directions: flat and horizontal.
• Operate additional equipment like a seamer and set proper settings.
• Inspect and correct welds to meet specifications.
• Maintain production and quality of finished products.
