Job summary

Plascore is seeking a Saw Operator PP Panel for the Plastics division in Zeeland, MI. This full-time position on 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM) involves cutting honeycomb material to meet exact specifications, inspecting finished pieces, and preparing shipments.

Starting pay is $18.90 per hour with company benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and educational support. Plascore offers a clean, safe work environment and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Determine the customer requirements per the work order.
• Identify what material needs to be cut for the day from the production work order.
• Obtain raw honeycomb materials from extrusion/expansion areas.
• Set up saws according to cutting instructions.
• Cut honeycomb into shapes and sizes designated by the customer requirements.
• Perform and record all necessary information to ensure traceability and quality.
• Report production results at the end of the shift on all necessary documents and or software.
• Properly dispose of scrap material per Plascore, Inc. non-conforming material procedure.
• Properly dispose of scrap material to ensure traceability.
• Follow all work orders and process specifications.
• Monitor equipment and maintain in good working order.
• Perform inventory checks on a quarterly basis.
• Assist other production areas as required.
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
• Improve job efficiency and performance through idea suggestions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
• Help remove blocks from frames.
• Assist extruder operators during breaks.
