Job summary

Aerotek in Cedar, MN is seeking a Saw Operator / Material Handler on the 2nd shift (3pm-1am, Monday-Thursday) with a pay range of $21-25 per hour. The role combines saw cutting and sit-down forklift material handling in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

You will alternate between cutting material to spec and moving in-process material between workstations, while following safety procedures and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling within a production or warehouse setting.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely around the shop floor.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing or machine operating processes.
• General labor or production experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to use a tape measure for accurate measurements.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ability to read and follow basic production instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a saw to cut material per measurements and production needs.
• Balance time: roughly 50% saw operation, 50% material handling.
• Move in-process material with a sit-down forklift to stations.
• Stage and organize materials to support continuous production flow.
• Read basic prints to understand cutting and handling requirements.
• Use inspection tools and a tape measure to verify dimensions.
• Follow safety procedures while operating machinery and forklifts.
• Complete required production documentation accurately.
• Support general labor and production tasks to meet team goals.
• Collaborate with teammates and trainers for safe, efficient operations.
