Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a Saw Operator I for the Minneota, MN area on dayshift. You will set up and operate a single-blade saw, read scheduling sheets, and prepare material for production.

Safety, quality, and efficiency are essential as you feed, inspect, and stack materials according to procedures. The role requires basic math and at least 3 months of saw experience; a high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 months of experience using saws or similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a single-blade saw according to specifications.
• Read production scheduling sheets and identify required material.
• Feed material according to specifications to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Offload and stack material following established procedures; label and band components if required.
• Keep work area safe, clean and organized; ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup inspection and report issues; maintain records.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and company procedures; participate in related programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
