Job summary

W. H. Leary Company in Tinley Park, IL, is seeking a Saw Operator to support our machine shop. You will calibrate sawing machines, position and secure material, and monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will also perform routine maintenance, measure with calipers/micrometers, and maintain daily production records while collaborating with teams across departments. This is a full-time on-site role in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and set up sawing machines for job orders and blade selection.

• Perform routine maintenance on saws (cleaning, lubrication, blade/belt replacement).
• File, grind, or smooth rough edges to meet finishing requirements.
• Keep detailed records of daily production output and paperwork.
