Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. seeks a material handler to support warehouse operations on the shop floor. You will operate cranes, forklifts and other handling equipment, pull and inspect material, and verify setup notes to ensure orders meet specifications.

Role emphasizes safety, accurate data entry, and alignment with lean/quality initiatives; physical lifting up to 40 lbs and daily collaboration with sales reps for order changes may occur.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Basic math skills.
• Previous warehouse or metals industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment on the warehouse floor.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing per work orders.
• Set up equipment to run material according to specifications.
• Record measurements and update setup notes as required.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized processing areas.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general clean-up.
• Identify, record and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Assist with lean and quality activities as needed.
