Job summary

Chicago Tube and Iron Company is seeking a Saw Operator for the 3rd shift in Romeoville, IL. You will safely operate saw and other equipment to process, package and load material, and assist with warehouse movements using cranes and loaders.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, plus ability to read blueprints. Prior manufacturing experience and forklift or crane exposure are a plus; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude – manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Experience with standard shop tools and inspection measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
• Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders, saws, banding or order packing preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate saw and other equipment to process, package and load material.
• Operate forklift, Raymoned side loader, and overhead crane to move material in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks using handling equipment and place materials in storage locations.
• May receive/inspect and verify the material count.

Job Summary:

Responsible for safely operating saw and other equipment to process, package and load material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate saw, or other equipment to process, package, and load.
• Operate forklift, Raymond side loader, and overhead crane to move material in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks using handling equipment, place materials in storage locations.
• May receive/inspect and verify the material count.

Position Requirements:
