Job summary

Chicago Tube and Iron Company in Locust, NC seeks a Saw Operator to safely operate saw and related equipment to process, package and load material in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will handle forklifts, overhead cranes and loaders to move material, inspect counts, and support receiving and shipping workflows. Prior manufacturing or fabrication exposure is a plus. This full-time role requires good mechanical aptitude and stamina to stand 6–8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude; manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Experience with standard shop tools and inspection measuring tools.
• Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders, and/or order packing is preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings is a plus.
• Ability to sit, stand and walk 6–8 hours per day.
• Ability to regularly maneuver up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw, or other equipment to process, package, and load.
• Operate forklift, Raymond side loader, and overhead crane to move material in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks using handling equipment, place materials in storage locations.
• May receive/inspect and verify the material count.
