Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Technical Development Manager to develop and grow markets for sensory components and functional ingredients across the North American food industry.

You will work with strategic partners, product managers, and the sales team to identify entry into target accounts and define technical needs. You will visit accounts weekly with the sales team, engage with R&D, and accelerate projects with the application team to ensure successful commercialization.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in food science required.
• Minimum 10 years in food product development or technical sales.
• Experience with savory and dairy unit operations.
• Knowledge of flavors and colors applications in foods.
• Understanding of North American food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow markets for sensory components and functional ingredients.
• Identify target accounts and strategize entry with sales and category teams.
• Visit accounts weekly and assess customer needs at the technical level.
• Engage with producer partners to recommend best solutions.
• Coordinate with application team to accelerate customer projects to commercialization.
• Ensure successful commercialization and provide trainings as needed.
• Maintain safety as top priority and support organizational goals.
