Job summary

Brenntag North America is seeking a Technical Development Manager to lead the growth of sensory components and functional ingredients across beverages, dairy, baked goods, and plant-based foods in the North American market.

You will partner with producers, product managers, and R&D teams to identify opportunities, visit key accounts, and translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions, with up to 50% travel and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in food science.
• Minimum 10 years in food product development and/or technical sales.
• Understanding of unit operations in beverage, dairy, bakery, and prepared foods.
• Extensive hands-on experience applying flavors and colors.

Responsibilities

• Learn partners' product portfolios and key technical attributes for applications.
• Identify target accounts with product/category managers and plan entry.
• Visit accounts with the sales team weekly and define customer needs with R&D.
• Engage with producers to propose best solutions.
• Coordinate with application team to accelerate customer projects.
• Ensure successful commercialization of products in scope.
• Attend product trainings and train field account managers.
