Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Savannah, GA to manage the daily return and reconciliation process for appliance deliveries for a major national retailer. You will coordinate independent contractor drivers, warehouse staff, and customer representatives to ensure accurate end-of-day records.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and comfort with dock operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse/logistics preferred.
• Comfortable around dock operations and warehouse environment.
• Willing to learn transportation and warehouse management systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor routes and track truck progress using company systems.
• Coordinate inbound traffic and dock operations during returns.
• Check delivery teams back into the warehouse after routes.
• Verify returned appliances and paperwork for accuracy.
• Review route documents and inventory records for completeness.
• Communicate with contractors and customer staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain records in transportation and warehouse systems.
• Support audits and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Escalate service failures and inventory discrepancies to management.
• Remain on-site until final route returns and end-of-day processes are complete.
