Job summary

Maersk in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a dependable Operations Supervisor to manage the daily return and reconciliation process for appliance deliveries on behalf of a major national retailer. This role serves as a liaison between contractor delivery teams, warehouse staff, and customer representatives to ensure returns, paperwork, and equipment are accounted for at route end.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, transportation, dispatch, delivery, or operations experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and around active dock operations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism with drivers, contractors, and customers.
• Proficient with computers and willing to learn transportation and warehouse management systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be flexible to work overtime when operational needs require.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery routes and track truck progress and return times using company systems.
• Coordinate inbound traffic and maintain dock operations during route returns.
• Check contractor teams back into the warehouse upon route completion.
• Verify returned appliances, customer returns, damages, exchanges, and undelivered products.
• Review and validate route paperwork, delivery documentation, and inventory records for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate professionally with contractors and customer warehouse personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain records within transportation, delivery, and warehouse management systems.
• Support audits, inventory reconciliation, and operational reporting as needed.
• Escalate service failures, damaged product concerns, and inventory discrepancies to management.
• Remain on-site until final route returns and end-of-day processes are completed.
• Assist with additional warehouse and operational tasks as needed.
