Job summary

The Robinson Center for Young Scholars at the University of Washington in Seattle seeks Enrichment Saturday Instructors to develop and teach enrichment courses for students in grades K-8. Courses run on Saturdays during the 2026-2027 year, with up to four classes per Saturday, 1–2 hours each.

Under supervision, instructors implement curriculum, deliver instruction, work with classroom aides, and participate in orientation and professional development training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least four years of professional experience
• Able to attend all class sessions and staff orientation for the 2026-2027 season
• Experience working with K-8 youth

Responsibilities

• Plan, Instruction & Assessment in teaching environments (85%).
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom for a diverse population of students.
• Design and develop the course curriculum with guidance from the Program Manager for Teaching and Learning.
• Prepare and deliver all course materials, lessons, activities, and supply lists on time.
• Collaborate with student support staff to communicate with families and support student needs.
• Differentiate and adapt instruction to engage students with support from Enrichment Admin team.
• Attend professional development trainings and staff orientation.
• Work with classroom aides and instructional coaches on course development and individualized student plans.
