Job summary

Morrison Energy Group seeks a life-support technician to monitor life support systems for divers during saturation diving and to maintain the safety, atmosphere, and logs required for safe operations.

Qualifications include ADCI training, ADC accredited schooling, and field experience with gas analysis, CPR/First Aid, and life support certification. Offshore assignments may be required from Houma, LA.

Qualifications

ADC accredited school completion.

Responsibilities

Control and monitor the hyperbaric environment and system in which divers live during saturation diving.
Maintain atmosphere and pressure in the saturation complex as directed by the Diving Supervisor.
Maintain suitable environment (temperature and humidity) for depth and diver comfort.
Ensure all gases used are analyzed, receipted, and logged before use.
Decompress divers according to schedules set by the Diving Supervisor.
Maintain communication with divers.
Calibrate monitoring instruments regularly or when accuracy is suspect.
Maintain a saturation log with readings and actions taken during shifts.
Record events and items entering/leaving the system to ensure safety.
Assist in maintenance of diving equipment and in training new personnel.
