Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Software Engineer - Hardware Test to design software architecture enabling vehicle integration and testing across multiple teams. You will implement automated test software and refine specifications for critical flight components, contributing across proposal, test, and flight phases.

You will collaborate with engineers, write test drivers, and help recruit additional teammates for a fast-paced, growing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE or equivalent background knowledge.
• 2–5+ years of experience in embedded systems or hardware development/testing.
• 3+ years of Python experience or equivalent high-level scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Design high-level software architecture to support vehicle integration and test operations.
• Write drivers for ground support equipment and work with test instruments.
• Implement software for automated testing at component and integrated levels.
• Refine specifications from electrical engineers to validate flight components.
• Support development phases from proposal to test and flight.
• Develop ground control and telemetry software.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring new teammates.
