Job summary

Cornerstone Defense seeks a Software Engineer to join our Satellite Ground Systems team in Dulles, VA or State College, PA. Compensation range: $180,000-$200,000 per year and active TS/SCI clearance required. U.S.

citizenship is necessary to qualify. You will design, develop, and maintain advanced software in Java and Python, collaborating with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in object-oriented design and Java development.
• Degree in STEM and proficiency in Python.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and secure coding.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers.
• Develop Java and Python components and migrate workloads to pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, system integration, and performance tuning.
• Ensure software reliability, scalability, and security.
