Job summary

Cornerstone Defense is seeking a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer in Richardson, TX, to join a cross-disciplinary team delivering ground systems solutions. The role emphasizes integration, automated testing, and rapid issue resolution within an Agile Release Train.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with Linux, Python, Java/C++, and cloud experience. Active TS/SCI clearance is required, with polygraph eligibility after start date.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with systems integration and testing of software products in Agile, CI/CD environments.
• Experience with regression testing, test scripting, and/or test automation tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging software-based systems and products.
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat), Python, and/or Perl scripting.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance (Polygraph after start).
• Experience with ground system and satellite domains is a plus.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience with test automation (Cucumber, Gherkin, Zypher, SoapUI).
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python; Cloud environments; AWS certification helpful.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct integration and test activities as a member of an Agile Release Train (ART) team.
• Identify technical issues during software and hardware integration and collaborate with fellow engineers to drive solutions to closure.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts.
• Troubleshoot and debug system issues.
• Operate effectively within an Agile program environment. Basic Quals:
• Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with systems integration and testing of software products in Agile, CI/CD environments
• Experience with regression testing, test scripting, and/or test automation tools
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging software-based systems and products
• Experience with with Linux (Red Hat), Python, and/or Perl scripting
• Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Polygraph after start. Preferred Quals:
• Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations), CompTIA Security + or equivalent certification
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Experience in Test Automation experience (Cucumber, Gherkin, Zypher, SoapUI)
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python, Experience with Linux operating system, Experience in a Cloud environment; AWS certification is helpful
