Job summary

Amazon Leo for Government is seeking a Satellite Systems I&T Engineer in California to lead design, integration, and testing of complex satellite systems for government and international customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test architectures support integration, verification, and delivery of satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, and ground terminals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of space vehicle, bus, RF payload, or optical payload integration and test experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing code in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, Docker, Rust on Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide System Integration and Test leadership for satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, ground terminals, or user terminals.
• Develop end-to-end payload/test plans and procedures to validate performance.
• Create test algorithms, scripts, and calibration routines for lab and field evaluation of satellites and subsystems.
• Analyze test data and coordinate with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance and improvements.
• Architect and validate support equipment for test execution and verification.
• Prepare reports documenting test results and KPIs; communicate issues to developers and managers.
• Manage and close test anomalies, defects, and bugs; implement continuous improvements of control systems.
