Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Engineering is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer to own space segment architecture and integration for government and international customers, working with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes requirements decomposition, trade studies, CONOPS, and test with hardware-in-the-loop activities, while coordinating with program leadership to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years in space systems engineering principles and techniques, including budgets, requirements flow-down, and verification.
• 4+ years in spacecraft systems engineering, spacecraft design, or related field with hands-on satellite design/integration.
• 4+ years of deriving and maintaining requirements from system level down to lower levels.
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft integration, flatsat testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or mission operations.

Responsibilities

• Owns space segment systems engineering, including concept development, trade studies, CONOPS, requirements allocation, and verification/validation.
• Collaborates with program and product management leadership to ensure program execution.
• Applies interdisciplinary approaches to plan, design, develop, and verify space segment products.
• Develops integrated satellite system designs and interfaces; coordinates cross-functional teams for system execution.
• Participates in software-to-hardware integration and test activities to verify mission functionality pre- and post-launch.
• Performs data analysis and maintains system configurations per constraints and requirements.
• Develops and improves systems engineering processes and rigor.
