Job summary

Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Engineering is seeking a System I&T Engineer to design, integrate, and test complex space systems for government and international customers. You will lead system integration and test activities across satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, and ground terminals.

The role requires a strong background in space systems, test automation, and data analysis, with 5+ years in I&T or related space industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of space vehicle, bus, RF payload, or optical payload integration and test experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing space or communication system test requirements, plans, and procedures for SV design verification and validation.
• 4+ years of experience developing code in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, Docker, Rust on Linux platforms and experience with industry standard coding practices.
• Experience with testing satellite communications payloads, optical payloads, spacecraft bus and constituent subsystems, or space vehicle level.

Responsibilities

• Provide System Integration and Test leadership to one or more of the following: satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, ground terminals, or user terminals.
• Provide system-level test design expertise for satellite bus, payloads, or ground terminals.
• Develop end-to-end payload or sub-system integration and test plans to validate performance.
• Create test algorithms, scripts, and calibration routines for lab and field evaluation of integrated satellites and subsystems.
• Analyze test data and collaborate with teammates, partners, suppliers, and customers to evaluate performance and propose improvements.
• Architect, design, and validate mechanical, optical, and electrical test support equipment.
• Prepare reports documenting test results, coverage, and KPI metrics; communicate issues to developers and managers.
• Manage and close test anomalies, defects, and bugs; perform root-cause analysis and continuous improvements of control systems.
