NAVWAR is recruiting for a senior engineering manager in San Diego to lead a multidisciplinary branch responsible for lifecycle support of commercial satellite communication systems and fleet integration. Qualifications

• Specialized experience at GS-11 or NM-03 in Federal service or equivalent.
• Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team through the full lifecycle of satellite communication systems.
• Experience overseeing design, testing, and/or software development for fleet installation, supply support, and long-term maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering branch providing lifecycle support for satellite communication systems and related platforms.
• Establish branch goals, priorities, budgets, staffing plans, work assignments and schedules to align with agency objectives.
• Supervise engineers, technicians, and scientists who research, test, operate, maintain, and install electronic equipment for communication, sensing, control, measurement, navigation, and computing systems.
• Manage a distributed workforce of employees and contractors, assign work, monitor performance, develop staff, resolve issues, and ensure project quality, cost, and schedule.
• Develop and present program reviews and engineering briefings to senior leaders, communicating project status, risks, resources, performance, and actions.
