Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) seeks an experienced Multidisciplinary Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, and test satellite ground system solutions. You will define ground system architectures, coordinate interdisciplinary engineering, manage requirements, risks, interfaces, and configurations, and drive technical execution across teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of experience, or 16+ with a master's, or 12+ with a PhD.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Broad systems engineering knowledge across multiple disciplines.
• Proven leadership and oversight of complex, high-risk programs.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills for cost/schedule tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering expertise and guidance on feasibility, requirements, risks, and impacts.
• Coordinate cross-functional software, hardware, and support teams for alignment and schedule adherence.
• Manage requirements, design/analysis, integration, baselines, and verification activities.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Evaluate vendor/subcontractor capabilities to meet system-level requirements.
• Support proposals and business development through technical leadership and customer engagement.
