Job summary

LV8D Solutions provides onsite SETA services for a government program in Chantilly, VA. The Space Systems Engineer will coordinate across engineering divisions to support satellite system development and acquisitions, ensuring compliance with requirements and providing technical advisory.

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required. On-site work with potential travel up to 25% in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that rewards leadership, communication, and mission-focused problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 9+ years of experience; Master's 7+; PhD/JD 4+ years.
• Experience in systems engineering processes, methods, and tools for satellite systems.
• Experience with space radar payload design, development, manufacturing, and testing.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer engagement in a government/contractor team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of system-level requirements and design features.
• Prepare documents and briefings to communicate status to government and industry.
• Support full lifecycle engineering reviews to verify design meets specifications.
• Review CDRL deliverables for content, accuracy, and sufficiency.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings between developers and contractors.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and review technical reports and program plans.
• Serve as a systems engineering liaison to SPO and other divisions.
