Job summary

Amazon LEO is seeking a Hardware Test Systems Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement comprehensive test solutions for satellite payload phased array antenna hardware design verification. You will work across analog/digital hardware, power design, and automated lab test development to ensure hardware meets stringent space-grade specifications.

You should be comfortable with ambiguity and driven to deliver results, with high standards and a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with test plan development and building test bench infrastructure.
• 5+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems.
• 3+ years of development/programming/scripting (Python/Java/Bash/Perl).
• Experience designing test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure coverage and control.
• Experience using common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, and operate hardware test systems for satellite hardware design verification at the bring-up, sub-system, and system levels.
• Drive alignment with key partners and stakeholders on verification strategy.
• Collaborate with design engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Build quantitative models (test coverage, reliability, throughput) to inform design trade studies and design modifications.
• Analyze test data and generate comprehensive test reports with recommendations.
• Perform root cause analysis on test failures, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement of the test systems.
• Optimize test coverage, reduce test time, and improve measurement accuracy.
• Stay current with emerging test technologies and industry standards.
