Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Network Development Engineer to lead hands-on integration and testing of satellite communications and ground-network capabilities. You will work across RF, networking, embedded software, cloud services, and test automation to bring new features from lab integration through end-to-end validation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end integration and validation of satellite communications features across the satellite payload, ground gateways, customer terminals, transport networks, and cloud services.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues using packet captures, system logs, telemetry, RF measurements, and tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and iperf to isolate packet loss, latency, session failures, and throughput degradation across the full communications stack.
• Automate test execution, data collection, log processing, performance analysis, and reporting using Python or similar languages.
