Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Colorado is seeking a mission operations professional to conduct real-time spacecraft flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases. You will develop plans for orbit dynamics, satellite performance, and on-orbit command and control to maximize mission support.

Applicants must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with substantial satellite operations experience or a STEM degree, and be proficient with OA software (OASYS/STK).

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
• Significant professional experience in satellite operations and/or a STEM degree.
• Experience with orbit determination/estimation, maneuver generation, GPS/navigation for SBIRS.
• Experience with collision avoidance planning and maneuver generation.
• Experience with OA software such as OASYS and/or STK.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to brief senior officials.
• Ability to work with on-site customers and cross-partner teams.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision in a fast-changing environment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and math/science background.

Responsibilities

• Conducts real-time mission operations for spacecraft/satellites.
• Develops plans/procedures for maximum mission support.
• Provides technical direction for on-orbit mission support.
• Performs failure analysis using telemetry data.
• Validates software performance and recommends improvements.
• Performs orbit adjustment studies and daily event analysis.
