SpaceX is seeking a Harness Engineering Specialist (Starshield) in Hawthorne, CA, to design and release satellite harness CAD models and drawings, qualify interconnects, and develop new harness fabrication methods across satellite configurations.

Qualifications

• BASIC QUALIFICATIONS include 3+ years of professional wire harnessing experience or a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• RESPONSIBILITIES involve developing harness designs in NX CAD and creating manufacturing drawings, adhering to standards, and generating schematics for flight and qualification designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release harness design solutions within a 3D NX CAD environment, including CAD models and manufacturing drawings/formboards
• Adhere to and improve internal design standards and requirements
• Work with responsible engineers to generate electrical schematics for flight and qualification designs
• Perform testing (mechanical and electrical) of harnessing to ensure flight qualification
• Triage non-conforming interconnect products and drive corrective actions
• Develop new tooling and manufacturing methods for electrical and optical harnessing
