Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a satellite harness design engineer to own harness design from concept to flight within the Starshield program. You will work on vehicle electrical connectivity, component selection, qualification, production, and flight readiness, gaining exposure to high‑level architecture and systems integration.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or other engineering discipline.
• Experience with electro‑mechanical wire harness design or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own harness design from concept to flight.
• Architect system designs by specifying harness capabilities, power and network connectivity.
• Develop electro‑mechanical harness designs in 3D NX.
• Contribute to overall physical layout to improve size, weight, power, and ease of assembly.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines to identify requirements and close trades.
• Perform analysis and testing for thermal, loads, and vibration to qualify hardware.
• Own delivery timelines from conception through launch with production and supply chain teams.
• Conduct R&D investigations and trade studies to push wire harness design boundaries.
• Demonstrate ownership of product outcomes at every development stage.
