Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Satellite Harnessing (Starlink) in Redmond to own harness design from concept through production and qualification. You will generate electrical schematics, manage trades, and interface with production teams to ensure on-schedule installation.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, applying CAD/FEA, NX, and Teamcenter for complex harness systems while traveling up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience with CAD and FEA software.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• 1+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop the electro-mechanical design of wire harnesses within SpaceX Starlink vehicles.
• Create harness designs in 3D NX CAD and perform design trade studies.
• Generate electrical schematics to support flight and qualification designs.
• Own harnessing assemblies and drive system integration trades to closure.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical testing and analysis for qualification.
