Job summary

Amazon Leo Satellite Engineering in Redmond, WA, seeks a Reliability Engineer to drive hardware reliability for the satellite program. You will lead reliability processes, model system reliability, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet stringent targets.

Experience with PoF approaches, stress analysis, and PCB/component reliability is essential. You will guide FMECAs, perform failure analyses, and help shape testing strategies across design, manufacturing, and deployment stages.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Materials, Reliability, Electrical engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in hardware reliability engineering, preferably with satellite systems or space applications.
Knowledge in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, methods, and tools.
Knowledge of environmental testing.
Proficiency in failure analysis techniques and materials characterization methods.
Familiarity with electronics (PCBs, PCBAs, electronic components) and moving mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

Assist with building a center of excellence for reliability analysis and test for Kuiper hardware design.
Develop system level reliability model and establish reliability allocations across vehicle subsystems to meet reliability targets.
Review, guide, support subsystem teams FMECAs, predictive modelling techniques, and test plans.
Establish test capabilities, and failure analysis as needed.
