Job summary

The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer (Experienced or Lead) to support EMC across satellite program phases. The role interfaces with multiple disciplines to optimize design, perform EMC testing, and develop requirements for space-based systems. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, MIL-STD-461 expertise, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

Requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/hold a security clearance.
Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Experience in EMI/EMC analysis and MIL-STD-461.
Experience using EMI/test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Interface with all technical disciplines to trade survivability, cost, weight, and risk in final design.
Perform EMC requirements verification testing and related analyses.
Develop and verify EMC requirements for space-based systems and subsystems.
Predict component performance to established EMC requirements and validate designs.
Collect data on supplier performance and support proposal development.
