Job summary

The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA, seeks Lead or Senior DSP Systems Engineers to design and develop space-based communication systems for national security and civil programs. You will work with a highly motivated team across the satellite lifecycle, interfacing with customers, suppliers, program management and test engineers.

Responsibilities include developing RF, digital, and optical satellite systems, signal processing architectures, and prototype demonstrations on flight-like testbeds.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required with ability to obtain US security clearance (Secret)
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Engineering Technology/Computer Science or related field
• 1+ years in signal or image processing
• 5+ years in electronic systems engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures
• Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces for digital payloads
• Develop performance and link budgets for systems
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models
• Assist with trade studies and propulsion/subsystem considerations
• Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like testbeds
• Support unit-level integration and simulations and hardware verification
• Assist with ASIC/FPGA level system design and verification
• Support hardware procurement and design reviews
