Job summary

Viasat is seeking a BFT2 Technical Services Engineer to provide remote and on-site support for the existing BFT2 network, including hubs, remote terminals, and COTS equipment.

You will deploy, test, document, train, operate and maintain the network, solving issues across software, hardware, IP networking and IA. This role requires US citizenship, eligibility for a security clearance, and willingness to travel up to 50% (CONUS/OCONUS).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supporting government and commercial SATCOM networks and terminals.
• Experience configuring and maintaining networks including hubs, remote terminals, and COTS equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• US government position; US Citizenship required; Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for the BFT2 network (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Support deployment, testing, documentation, training, operation, maintenance, and problem solving.
• Handle 24/7 on-call rotation and coordinate with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain hardware, networking, RF components, software test and integration, and configurations.
