Job summary

Viasat seeks a BFT2 Technical Services Engineer to provide customer, production, and engineering support for government and commercial SATCOM systems. You will handle remote and on-site tasks, deployments, testing, documentation, and training, operating across RF, IP networking and software domains.

Responsibilities include 24/7 on-call support, CONUS/OCONUS installations, and maintenance, with travel up to 50%. A technical degree and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with RHEL, Ansible and Cisco.
• Experience operating and solving issues with SATCOM networks and terminals.
• Security+ certification and Cisco or Linux certification.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (CONUS/OCONUS).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer, production and engineering support for government and commercial systems.
• Support deployment, testing, documentation, training, operation and maintenance of the BFT2 network.
• Perform remote and on-site support and on-call rotation.
• Maintain hardware, networking and RF components; perform software tests and integration.
