Job summary

Viasat is seeking a BFT2 Technical Services Engineer to provide customer, production, and engineering support for government and commercial SATCOM systems, including hubs and terminals. The role blends remote and on-site work with 24/7 on-call coverage across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

You'll configure, test, maintain, and document networks, work with software, hardware, IP networking, and IA disciplines, and contribute to training and publications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience supporting SATCOM networks and terminals.
• Experience with RHEL, Ansible, Cisco hardware/software.
• US government position; US Citizenship and ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for the BFT2 network.
• Deploy, test, document, train, operate, and maintain production networks.
• Collaborate with internal and external personnel across disciplines.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and ongoing issue resolution.
