Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Support Specialist for Hill AFB, UT to support DISA-provided GIG/DISN services in a 24x7 environment. The role requires DoD Security+, active Secret clearance, and hands-on SATCOM/IP network expertise.

Responsibilities include ticketing, monitoring, configuring routers/switches/firewalls, and coordinating with DoD gateways to resolve SATCOM and IP network issues. High school diploma plus 2–4 years’ experience required.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required at start.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Experience using SAA/GAAs for network configuration documentation.
• Experience with MILSATCOM encryption devices.
• Experience with SATCOM architecture and signal flow.
• Currently possess an active Secret clearance.
• Ability to manage IP over SATCOM networks.

Responsibilities

• Create and update tickets using DISA ticketing applications for problem tracking and resolution.
• Monitor network events and element management failures 24x7x365.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls and voice equipment for IP network support.
• Configure and issue option/boot/RSP files on SATCOM modem support.
• Remotely access and de-access customers into IP/SATCOM networks.
• Coordinate with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and operators to troubleshoot issues.
• Verify equipment operates in baseline configuration.
• Provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways using SAA/GAA.
