Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer for the Scott AFB, IL location to support DISA-provided SATCOM services in a 24x7 Global Operations Center. The role focuses on network operations, circuit redesign, and incident management to ensure maximum availability for DoD networks.

Required DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification and active DoD Secret clearance, with a BS or MS degree and 2–4 years of related experience. On-site, 24x7 shift work is expected.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required.
• BS degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or MS with less than 2 years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of customer circuits across SATCOM teleports and gateways.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign and alternate routing to restore connectivity during outages.
• Collaborate with customers and engineers across NOCs to maximize network availability.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacement and software configurations.
• Monitor network alarms using platform management tools and document incidents in the lifecycle.
• Assess and resolve network incidents using routers, switches, crypto devices, and related technologies (Cisco, Juniper, iDirect, EBEM, ESEM).
